JOB SUMMARY: The Receiving and Distribution Specialist will be responsible for managing the receipt, inventory tracking, and distribution of supplies and equipment throughout the hospital. The role will involve tasks ranging from fulfilling stock requests and managing stock replenishments to delivering critical items to patient care areas. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced healthcare environment. This position plays a vital role in maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting patient care by ensuring that the necessary supplies are available at all times.Schedule: Monday - Friday 11am-7:30pmDUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Par Room Count & Replenishment: Perform inventory counts in par rooms and generate replenishment orders for the storeroom based on stock levels.Stock Requests Fulfillment: Fulfill stock requests generated from par count replenishment processes, ensuring that requested items are delivered to the appropriate departments.Ad Hoc Requests: Issue stock for ad hoc requests via various communication methods, such as call down, walk-in requests, or email.Patient Bedside Deliveries: Deliver the correct formula or required medical items to patient bed side in a timely and accurate manner.Receipt of Deliveries: Receive Amazon, inventory supplier, FedEx, UPS, and other freight deliveries, ensuring timestamped receipts for matching and proper put-away of items.Non-Patient Chargeable Items: Issue non-patient chargeable items from the storeroom and ensure they are correctly assigned to the appropriate patient or department.Printer Maintenance: Replace ink and toner cartridges at any printer throughout the hospital to ensure the continued operation of essential printing equipment.Sharps Containers & Biohazard Waste: Exchange sharps containers and perform pharmacy biohazard waste (including chemotherapy waste) removal in accordance with safety protocols.Stock Requests Fulfillment: Proactively stock convenience locations through stock issue trans-actions, ensuring all necessary supplies are readily available for nursing staff.Expired Products Monitoring: Regularly check for expired products in supply chain-managed locations and ensure timely removal or replacement.System Inventory Counts: Participate in system inventory counts for year-end, periodic, or ad hoc count events to maintain accurate inventory records.Excess Supply Documentation: Document when excess supply for non-inventory orders is stored in storeroom areas and manage it as non-inventory.Professionalism and Alignment with Mission: Uphold the mission and values of Ranken Jor-dan by maintaining appropriate professional behavior at all times, ensuring that all actions align with the organization's commitment to exceptional patient care.Other Duties as Assigned: Perform all other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager, supporting the overall effectiveness of the department and organization.QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:High school diploma or equivalent required. Additional certifications in logistics or supply chain management are a plus.Minimum of 2 years of experience in receiving, inventory control, or supply chain management, preferably in a healthcare setting.Experience with managing and handling medical supplies, including biohazard and chemotherapy waste, is preferred.PHYSICAL DEMANDS:These include stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, grasping, pulling, pushing, climbing ladders, standing, carrying, and lifting of heavy loads (up to 50 lb.).
