Extraordinary Projects, Exceptional Performance The California High-Speed Rail Authority’s Construction Package 1 (CP1) is the first significant construction contract on the Initial Operating Section of the High-Speed Rail project in California’s Central Valley. It covers a 32-mile stretch between Avenue 19 in Madera County to East American Avenue in Fresno County, including major work in downtown Fresno. The scope includes 12 roadway/railroad grade separations, two mainline viaducts, one tunnel, realignment of existing railroad tracks, utility and roadway relocations, trench sections, and a major river crossing over the San Joaquin River. As a
Structural Superintendent
at Tutor Perini, reporting to the
Project Manager , you will: Supervise construction efforts to ensure safety, quality, and adherence to design, budget, and schedule. Plan, coordinate, and supervise onsite activities, including scheduling and subcontractor management. Ensure compliance with contract requirements, efficient use of resources, site safety, and project timelines. Provide technical assistance, such as interpreting drawings and recommending construction methods. Assist in developing project schedules, site logistics, and implementing procedures. Support the Site Specific Safety Plan. Coordinate with on-site Owner employees. Perform additional duties as assigned. Requirements
High school diploma, GED, or 15+ years of construction experience. 10+ years’ experience as a superintendent on heavy civil projects. Superintendent experience on projects over $200M. Knowledge of U.S. construction methods, standards, and techniques. Experience with government clients preferred. Knowledge of contract management and local trade unions. Proficiency in MS Word/Excel, Procure, Bluebeam, HCSS Heavy bid or similar software. OSHA and First Aid certifications. Excellent communication skills.
