Reporting to the President the Senior Manager of Finance and Accounting is a member of the management team in all phases of business growth, development, and implementation of activities. The primary responsibilities will be the ongoing management of the real estate portfolio, including transactions management, facilities management, and corporate services.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Finance and Accounting Department, which includes the oversight of two direct reports.
Influence the real estate strategy with fact based financial analysis including market trends and observations.
Prepare annual budgets for the entire portfolio and ensure budgets align within the CAM guidelines to maximize additional rent.
Oversee the preparation of the monthly financial close, cashflow forecast, and financial reporting package.
Prepare and present quarterly Board Meeting materials and the annual Business Plan.
Assist with evaluating the financial performance of new leases, as well as assist with the financial aspects of lease negotiations.
Obtain an understanding of cash application and month end close process to be able to troubleshoot issues as they arise.
Provide support and oversight for the annual financial audit.
Review and approve annual CAM reconciliations and estimates.
Ensure cost effective maintenance of all facilities to achieve an optimal state of uptime, safety, security, and compliance to established standards.
Monitor facility and real estate reporting tools to ensure best practices are being followed.
Explore the use of additional tools and Yardi modules to implement processes improvements as need.
Responsible for investment analysis on Real Estate purchases and divestitures through advanced modeling.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting with emphasis on Real Estate Management and Investment preferred. Master’s degree or CPA is a plus, but not a requirement.
Minimum of seven (7) years of progressive leadership experience Seniority level
