Vice President of IT
to lead and transform its corporate technology function. With an expanding presence in a mission-critical services sector, this organization is poised for continued scale and innovation. The incoming IT executive will play a pivotal role in building out a modern, secure, and agile IT environment to support long-term success. Position Summary The Vice President of Corporate IT will be responsible for shaping and executing a strategic IT roadmap that aligns with company goals. This role will lead the corporate IT function—currently a lean team—and will be charged with building out the team, tools, and systems from the ground up. The ideal candidate brings a mix of strategic vision and hands-on leadership, with deep experience across infrastructure, enterprise systems, information security, compliance, and digital enablement. Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership Define and deliver a long-term IT strategy aligned with business objectives. Partner with senior leadership to identify and implement high-impact technology solutions. Serve as a strategic advisor on digital transformation and operational innovation. Team Building & Management Build and lead a high-performing IT organization covering infrastructure, security, applications, and support. Recruit and develop technical talent; manage vendor partnerships as needed. Foster a culture of service, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Infrastructure & Operations Design and oversee a scalable, secure, and cost-effective IT environment (cloud, on-premise, hybrid). Ensure effective IT operations and user support across all locations. Drive modernization and standardization efforts in a Microsoft-centric ecosystem. Cybersecurity & Compliance Establish robust information security policies and frameworks. Oversee compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards. Conduct risk assessments and lead mitigation strategies for data and systems. Business Applications & Software Oversee enterprise systems (ERP, CRM, HRIS, etc.) to ensure alignment with operational needs. Lead application selection, implementation, integration, and optimization. Promote data governance and analytics capabilities across the business. IT Governance & Budgeting Develop and manage the IT budget with a focus on ROI and cost efficiency. Implement governance and performance metrics to track value delivery. Provide regular reporting and insights to executive stakeholders. Qualifications 10+ years of progressive IT leadership, including 3+ years in an executive or senior management role. Proven experience scaling IT functions in fast-paced or evolving organizations. Strong background in Microsoft environments (Azure, O365, SharePoint, Active Directory). Deep understanding of IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, compliance, and enterprise systems. Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor high-performing teams. Experience with digital transformation and building IT strategy from the ground up. Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; Master’s degree preferred. Preferred Qualifications Experience in operationally intensive or infrastructure-related industries. Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to IT operations and data security.
