A Day in the Life
We are looking for an experienced, confident, and globally minded Principal Specialist to join the Global Integrated Marketing team supporting the Perioperative franchise within Medtronic’s business unit Acute Care & Monitoring (ACM).
This individual will play a critical role in developing and executing global, business division wide marketing programs that elevate our Perioperative technology portfolio and support position its product lines as the global market leader in patient safety. Products in this franchise include BIS brain monitoring system, INVOS regional oximetry, Argos Cardiac Output Monitor, among others.
Reporting to the S enior Group Manager Integrated Marketing , t he Principal Integrated Marketing Specialist will be a key strategic partner for the perioperative franchise leadership and the cross-functional perioperative, clinical, regional and global marketing and sales teams. Having a downstream marketing mindset, strong digital marketing skills, and a track record of innovative and growth-oriented thinking, you will develop, implement, and measure marketing plans to achieve business objectives . Responsibilities include: Develops and implements business unit wide, integrated marketing programs
Develops the business case, strategies, budgets, executions, measurement, and ongoing enhancements to meet the business units’ reputational and growth objectives
Utilizes omni-channel marketing models incorporating paid, owned, earned, and shared content strategies.
Develops reputational KPI's, listening tools, and the strategies for tracking and measuring program impact on reputation , at a r egional or global basis.
Conceptualizes customer personas to guide multi-media content & channel strategy.
Strategizes on how to reach target customers /audiences based on their motivations, challenges, and triggers - with the goal of connecting with key audiences and generating demand .
Lead s the development of engaging and purposeful multi-media content, to be used across channels, for each stage of the buying funnel.
Solve s key customer challenges and advance s our reputation through a thought leadership / content strategy, editorial calendar, and agency management and execution.
Build s and own s digital/ social media/web engagement strategies, calendar, execution, and reporting in partnership with agencies and internal stakeholders.
Gather s insights from regional marketing and sales teams to identify opportunities to refine existing (and create new) commercial enablement programs, strategies and tools.
Develop s compelling & consistent approach to tradeshows/congress engagement – work ing across regions, functions to tailor and support execution .
Manage s relevant consultants, agencies, and vendors.
Travel s approximately 25%
Must Have: Minimum Requirements Bachelo r's degree required
Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience including digital marketing and or downstream marketing, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience including digital marketing and or downstream marketing
Nice to Have MBA
Experience in developing and managing integrated marketing campaigns and compelling multi-media content.
Strong program management skills and adept at leading cross functional teams at a global level
Strong editorial skills in English
Healthcare industry and/or medical device experience preferably in med-surgical space
Ability to self-navigate in a complex, matrixed environment across business units and with sales organizations and engage stakeholders accordingly
Strong analytical skills with ability to build businesses cases to secure funding
Knowledge of WorkFront or similar project management system
Knowledge of Veeva Promomats or similar regulated approval system

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$115,200.00 - $172,800.00 This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP). The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others). The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance , Health Savings Account , Healthcare Flexible Spending Account , Life insurance, Long-term disability leave , Dependent daycare spending account , Tuition assistance/reimbursement , and Simple Steps (global well-being program).
