Midland, TX

(On Site Monday-Friday) Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Environmental Engineer to support our environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives. Experience must be from an oil/gas midstream industry. The ideal candidate will specialize in air permitting and be responsible for ensuring our operations comply with environmental regulations at the federal, state, and local levels. This position involves managing air quality programs, preparing environmental permits, conducting assessments, and leading efforts to minimize environmental impact. Job Duties Prepare and manage air permit applications, renewals, modifications, and compliance reports (e.g., Title V, PSD, NSR). Ensure ongoing compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations (EPA, state DEQ, etc.). Conduct air emissions inventories, dispersion modeling, and impact analysis. Develop and implement environmental management systems related to air quality, waste, water, and sustainability. Lead or support environmental audits, risk assessments, and internal inspections. Track environmental performance metrics and maintain accurate records for reporting. Coordinate with regulatory agencies during permitting, inspections, and compliance activities. Provide technical support for pollution control equipment design, installation, and operation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to reduce emissions and improve environmental performance. Stay current with changes in environmental legislation and assess potential impacts on operations. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred). 2-5 years of experience with air permitting and environmental compliance. Experience preparing Title V and minor source air permit applications. Familiarity with federal and state air quality regulations and emissions reporting systems (e.g., EIS, AERSCREEN, AERMOD). Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills. Proficiency in environmental software/tools (e.g., EPA models, GIS, Excel) Job Requirements Office-based role with occasional fieldwork/site visits. May require travel to facilities and regulatory meetings. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus.
