Role and Scope of Position: The Senior Engineer will work with complex systems and equipment, providing engineering and technical services to support our organization. This role involves working both in the office and in the field on various projects, including designing substations, analyzing systems, working with transformers, and testing equipment. Responsibilities include: Designing new substations and infrastructure in accordance with standards. Analyzing system disturbances and failures. Engineering electrical protection and control circuits. Performing acceptance testing of equipment. Leading project teams and mentoring less experienced engineers. Supporting system operations through analysis and resolution of protection system issues. Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, preferably with a focus on power systems. Minimum of 5 years of experience in protection and controls. Experience with relay settings, coordination studies, and fault analysis. Knowledge of transmission and distribution protection principles. PE license preferred. Other requirements: Availability for emergency restoration work and travel as needed. Valid driver’s license. Compensation: Salary ranges from $125,680 to $139,640, with potential incentives.
