As a Principal Mechanical Design Engineer, you will apply your expertise to mechanical design and analysis projects, finding innovative and cost-effective solutions to improve techniques, procedures, products, and technologies. Your responsibilities include designing products to meet customer needs, ensuring product quality and manufacturability, developing new products, building prototypes, conducting testing, and potentially serving as a project manager for smaller projects. You will develop product designs that drive improvement and help secure future business by exceeding Voice of Customer requirements. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Accelerometer design Accelerometer analysis using ANSYS and other software Preparing technical reports and documentation, including white papers for senior leadership and external customers 3D modeling Writing specifications Leading RCCA activities YOU MUST HAVE

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Physics Must be a US Citizen due to contractual requirements Ability to achieve a security clearance ≥20 years of professional experience ≥3 years' experience with GDT ≥15 years' experience with design tools such as Creo, SolidWorks, ANSYS, AutoCAD, Fluent, etc. WE VALUE

Experience with new product development Experience working in an aerospace environment Experience with inertial sensors or other precision instruments Data-driven decision-making experience Experience with transient dynamic analysis Experience with anisotropic and piezo-electric materials Experience with digital twins and model-based systems engineering (MBSE) Knowledge of machine shop tools and processes Tooling design experience for precision assembly Ability to work independently Hands-on work enthusiasm Creativity Six Sigma certification and practical application of tools Effective communication skills for complex topics Open, honest, and team-oriented personality As a Principal Mechanical Design Engineer at Honeywell, you will lead the design and development of advanced mechanical solutions, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, reliable products, and providing technical guidance to junior engineers.
