The Optimus project aims to develop advanced humanoid robots, and your role will be crucial in creating specialized tools for their assembly, testing, and maintenance. What You Will Do Design and develop innovative mechanical and electrical tooling solutions for the assembly, calibration, testing, and servicing of the Optimus robot. Lead the fabrication, assembly, wiring, and validation of prototypes and production tools. Integrate sensors, actuators, control systems, and data acquisition components into tooling. Collaborate with design engineers, manufacturing teams, and technicians to refine tooling solutions. Create detailed documentation including CAD models, electrical schematics, and user guides. Participate in troubleshooting and continuous improvement of tooling systems. What You Need to Bring Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience. At least 3 years of experience in designing and building custom tooling or automated equipment with mechanical and electrical components. Hands-on experience in building, wiring, debugging, and commissioning electro-mechanical systems. Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA). Ability to interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams. Strong problem-solving skills and a practical, action-oriented approach. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
