Treasurer . This is a key executive role within the Controllers Office, responsible for managing the universitys debt portfolio, investment strategy, and capital financing partnerships. Link to department: Florida State University Controller's Office | Controller's Office (fsu.edu) About the role: Responsible for providing strategic leadership and oversight of the universitys financial operations, with a focus on debt management, capital financing, and investment strategy. How you will spend your time: Provide strategic oversight of FSUs debt and investment management, aligning financial performance with the universitys mission and long-range goals. Direct the issuance and administration of university debt and public-private partnerships, ensuring compliance with regulations and alignment with university priorities. Serve as the primary liaison to rating agencies, the Florida Division of Bond Finance, and the Board of Governors, representing the university in external financial relationships. Oversee the universitys investment portfolio, working with external managers and internal stakeholders to monitor performance, maintain liquidity, and support operational needs. Lead the preparation of financial reports, forecasts, ratio analyses, and investment updates for senior leadership, boards, and regulatory entities. Manage internal loan programs and collaborate on capital project funding across divisions and affiliated organizations. Ensure full compliance with all debt covenants, financial reporting standards, and audit requirements. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in finance, or a related field and eight (8) years of relevant experience; or Masters degree and six (6) years of experience. Demonstrated success managing complex debt portfolios, investment strategies, and institutional financial planning. Proven ability to engage senior stakeholders and external agencies with credibility and precision.
