R&D Specialist - Systems
who will report to the
R&D Manager Foams & Chemicals . The resource will have the responsibility of proactively participating in the company's product innovation and improvement processes, generating know-how and original solutions, defining the product development and characterization methodology, and significantly contributing to problem-solving through technical support external to customers and other company functions. The ideal figure must have gained at least 5 years' experience in formulation research and product development in modernly structured chemical companies in the field of polyurethane systems. Main responsibilities Research new formulation technologies aimed at developing innovative products and/or improving existing products and processes. Develop and implement new or improved analytical techniques and methods for evaluating product performance, in order to find application solutions that meet the specific needs of customers and markets. Explore and experiment with new product application areas. Provide technical support to the Commercial function for the development of new applications. Provide technical support to the Production function in the industrialization of new products and assistance with production processes. Provide technical support to the Quality function in defining control specifications and acceptance of new products and in continuous process improvement initiatives. Provide technical support to the Purchasing function in the evaluation of new chemical raw materials and new suppliers. Conduct external technical support for your technologies and applications. Requirements Master's degree in Chemistry / Industrial Chemistry / Materials Science. Knowledge of the chemistry of PU systems. Knowledge of the performance characteristics of adhesives for specific industrial uses, as well as their instrumental characterization. Ability to analyze data and prepare technical reports and technical documentation. Knowledge of project dynamics for the development of new products and for the maintenance of the technological portfolio. Knowledge of the English language, written and spoken, at a medium/high level. Availability to travel abroad to branches/customers, even for a few days. Residence near the workplace (Soliera, MO).
