Project Manager
needs to have self-perform structural concrete experience, experience in Hard money, and GC concrete experience. Specific Responsibilities:
Works closely with management to plan and execute projects, ensuring their successful completion with safety as the highest priority. Plans and supervises all activities including determining method of construction, sequencing, manpower levels, material quantities, equipment, and work schedule. Trains and develops experienced Foremen/Leads on Concrete Structural Construction, working on their projects and developing a solid mentoring system for their crew. Manages the day-to-day activities of the construction operation through assigned personnel. Creates and maintains project schedule; plans, monitors, and reviews critical path dates and milestones in conjunction with the Project Manager. Communicates site problems, plan conflicts, schedule, and quality issues effectively to the Project Manager and General Contractor. Proactively identifies and resolves field construction problems. Maintains open communication with other subcontractors to ensure all required materials, equipment, inspections, etc., support project activities and schedule. Ensures that project safety protocols are implemented and followed, including Site Specific Safety Plans, JSAs, Daily Activity Planners, and Toolbox Talks. Monitors all personnel and subcontractors for compliance with safety requirements; evaluates effectiveness and implements corrective measures. Participates in monthly Jobsite Safety Assessments and assists in incident and accident investigations. Continuously monitors project equipment needs, utilization, and maintenance; understands all subcontractors’ scopes and ensures schedules and quality meet contract requirements. Works with the General Contractor to ensure work complies with drawings and specifications. Provides input on cost and schedule forecasts. Assists with review of monthly pay requests and change order reviews. Performs project close-out and ensures timely completion of punch lists. Participates in business development and estimating activities within their core competency. Performs additional assignments as directed by supervisor. Responsible for personal safety and the safety of all coworkers and contacts. Duties & Responsibilities:
Establish effective communication with clients, architects, engineers, and contractors. Coordinate with the Estimating Department on cost control and reporting procedures. Ensure a project safety program is established and followed. Maintain project controls and documentation, including reports, RFIs, field orders, and correspondence. Complete pre-award checklists and draft subcontracts and purchase orders. Develop project goals and detailed schedules of time and costs. Coordinate staffing with the Corporate Office. Manage financial aspects including change orders, payments, and equipment rentals. Monitor and control construction activities and represent the company at project meetings. Participate in post-project evaluations to gather lessons learned. Perform additional tasks as directed by the Project Executive. We seek a flexible, detail-oriented team player capable of managing multiple tasks, producing quality work, and meeting deadlines. The ideal candidate will possess: Excellent listening and communication skills. Ability to resolve complex issues. Ability to foster team morale. Understanding of building processes and systems. Knowledge of cost estimating, budgeting, and forecasting. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Timberline, HeavyJob, and P6. 5+ years of experience in commercial construction, preferably in our core markets. Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field. A strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
