Senior Civil Designer Location: College Station, Texas As a member of Garver's growing
College Station Water Design Center , the
Senior Civil Designer
will be responsible for developing and detailing AutoCAD and Civil 3D models in support of various projects. The role involves collaboration with engineers, designers, and technicians to produce drawings and manage workload across Water Business Line projects. This position utilizes advanced technology, primarily AutoCAD and Civil 3D, to design site plans, yard piping, electrical duct banks, grading, drainage, and other civil works related to water and wastewater facilities. Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate survey services and process field data Develop surface models and various plans (paving, yard piping, demolition) Create grading plans, profiles, and cross sections Calculate dirt work volumes and plan quantities Organize drawing structures and produce record drawings Primary Responsibilities:
Develop Civil 3D models independently Ensure quality standards and adherence to Garver's procedures Develop and train on civil standards and tools Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team Manage multiple projects and mentor junior team members Candidates should have strong interpersonal skills for effective team coordination and issue resolution. The WDC specializes in high-volume, complex water and wastewater projects, emphasizing advanced technologies and collaborative project delivery. Minimum Requirements:
10+ years CAD experience with civil engineering teams Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D Knowledge of site development including grading, paving, drainage, piping Experience with MS Office Excellent communication skills High school diploma or equivalent Preferred Skills:
Experience with BIM360, Bluebeam, Revit Associates degree in CAD or related field Growth Opportunities:
