This position is responsible for assisting with mechanical engineering work related to the integration of power generation equipment in customer projects including Data Center, Microgrids, and other mission critical applications. Key Accountabilities: Assists with designing walk-in enclosures and housing for generator sets, KPP, BESS, or other systems as required. Assists with designing system requirements related to ventilation air flow design, including static pressure calculations and sound attenuation as well as exhaust, fuel and water piping in accordance with industry codes and standards. Assists with managing and designing complete scope from initiation to onsite delivery of systems. Assists with preparing, submitting and tracking RFI(s) (Request for Information) as needed to ensure client expectations are clearly communicated and documented. Review and complete C/D&E documents. Assists with verifying manufacturing drawings, P&I diagrams, schematics, data sheets and similar drawings for compliance with design specifications. Research and analyze requirements from various engineering standards, contracts, and proposal documents. Assist with preparing and finalizing equipment specifications for major equipment, collaborate with internal departments such as purchasing & engineering to procure components, and release components with vendors for production. Review and compare customer specifications against MTU designs and equipment vendor proposals. Promote a compliance culture in area of responsibility and live the letter and the spirit of the Rolls Royce Code of Conduct. Perform special projects as required. Basic Requirements: Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Automation Engineering; or 4 years of Mechanical or Automation Engineering experience. Willingness to travel for business trips up to 30%. Preferred Qualifications: Good ability to organize and manage multiple priorities. Good fundamental knowledge of AC/DC electricity. Strong ability to take initiative and work independently in a collaborative environment. Strong problem analysis and problem resolution at both a strategic and functional level. Good ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and explain those conclusions to management in form of presentations. Strong computer skills: MS Office suite, drafting tools, CAD software. Strong oral and written communication skills. Service/or Test experience. Medium Voltage Experience. Computer Skills: SAP, PLC, Basler, B+R, BESTComms, ePlan, eTAP, SKM, SEL Acelerator, CREO. OSHA30 certificate. Rolls-Royce is a Military Friendly Employer.
