TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Teaching Agreement, salaried position, 1.0 FTE School Year, plus 10 days Starting Pay: $44,976 to $88,200 depending on education and previous experience. Grand Rapids Area Schools offers a comprehensive benefits package. The district offers contributions toward medical insurance including a health savings account. The district offers paid time off including sick and personal leave. District paid life insurance and long-term disability insurance are available to full-time teachers. Retirement matching and health care savings plan contributions are made after three years of service. Employees are eligible to attend home, non-playoff sporting events at no cost. BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES: The Literacy Lead position is required by MN Statute 120B.123. The individual is a literacy specialist with expertise in working with educators as adult learners. The position supports district implementation of the Minnesota READ Act legislation at the local level. The Curriculum Integration Specialist provides leadership in the district's curriculum adoption and implementation processes. This role involves guiding teams to adopt high-quality instructional materials and practices, aligning district goals, the Grand Rapids Area Schools Curriculum Adoption Process, and the Multi-Year Curricular Review Cycle. The specialist develops and facilitates professional development, supporting the seamless integration of the curriculum into daily instructional practices to enhance student achievement, and ensures sustained improvement in instructional practices through effective implementation and evaluation. QUALIFICATIONS: Education Required: Bachelor’s degree in Education
Licensure/Certification: MN teaching license in Elementary Education or English/Language Arts
