GPS Responsibilities:
Familiarity with construction GPS equipment, especially Trimble systems
FAA Part 107 License or willingness to obtain one by passing the FAA exam
Perform basic troubleshooting of GPS machinery both over the phone and in person
Perform site calibrations and regularly check control points
Convert and load digital models and files to machine and handheld formats (Trimble GCS900, Trimble Earthworks, Topcon)
Experience with Trimble Business Center preferred
Willingness to travel to job sites for GPS issues and drone operations
Experience with Phantom 4 RTK and/or Inspire 2 drone platforms for photogrammetry
Process drone data into point clouds and orthomosaics for earthwork quantities and takeoffs
Intermediate computer skills for office and field software
Duties and Responsibilities:
Create and update job progress schedules
Develop and monitor job budgets
Review subcontractor and owner pay estimates
Prepare and review DOT/owner submittals
Coordinate subcontractors and schedule materials
Assist with field activity scheduling and coordination
Support project management
Maintain accurate job quantities
Create supplemental agreements and weekly reports
Conduct erosion control inspections and maintain logs
Participate in field layout activities
Manage traffic control activities
Education and Experience:
2-5 years of experience in Civil Structures preferred
High school diploma required
