The ServiceNow Technical Consultant is responsible for the development, configuration, and customization of the ServiceNow platform, with a strong focus on ITSM and ITOM modules.
This role involves hands-on development, implementation of best practices, and delivering efficient and scalable solutions.
The consultant will contribute to the full development lifecycle and ensure solutions align with Agile/Scrum principles.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and customize the ServiceNow platform, including ITSM and ITOM modules.
Create and maintain Service Portal widgets and pages.
Write efficient, practical, and reusable server-side and client-side code using Glide APIs, AngularJS, and JQuery.
Use debugging methods and tools to test and troubleshoot both server and client scripts.
Work with ServiceNow APIs such as GlideSystem, GlideUser, GlideQuery, GlideAggregate, and GlideAjax.
Manipulate the DOM and implement custom behavior using Angular Directives and Modules.
Apply Bootstrap and HTML for UI design within the Service Portal.
Collaborate within an Agile/Scrum development environment.
Implement best practices in writing Glide Queries and ensure maintainable code quality.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of ServiceNow development experience. Minimum 5 years of experience in ITSM development. Strong expertise with ServiceNow platform modules including ITSM and ITOM. Proficient in using ServiceNow APIs for server/client scripting. Knowledge of AngularJS, JQuery, and DOM manipulation. Experience with Service Portal development and widget creation. Understanding of Agile/Scrum principles and working in iterative development cycles. Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of Angular Modules and writing reusable components. Experience applying best practices in performance optimization and debugging. Familiarity with ServiceNow upgrade processes and release management. Certifications
