Senior Network and Computer Systems Administrator Overview:
S4 Inc. has a Sr. Linux/Unix System Administrator position available who will be providing Information Technology services to USSTRATCOM in order to support its full range of enterprise services, including development, testing, and production environments. Specific Duties: Perform system administration for enterprise Linux/Unix OS solutions. Install, configure, and maintain Linux/Unix OS operating systems. Analyze and resolve problems associated with the operating system's servers, hardware, applications, and software. Monitor system performance and ensure compliance with security standards. Monitor everyday systems, evaluate availability of all server resources, and perform all activities for Linux servers. Assist with configuring and deploying all virtual machines and install and provide backup to all configuration procedures. Maintain and monitor all patch releases, design various patch installation strategies, and maintain all systems according to program standards. Provide Tier 2 and 3 troubleshooting support, interfacing with the end users and other technical teams from a service support perspective. Required Qualifications: Top Secret security clearance and eligible for SCI access. Cloud+ or GICSP or SSCP or Security+ or GSEC certification required. At least 8 years experience in installing, configuring, and maintaining Linux/Unix OS operating systems. Ability to work both independently and in a team environment with customer and staff. Good verbal and written communication skills. Desired qualifications: One of the following certifications is preferred: ITIL 4 Foundations; Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator; Linux Professional Institute Certification Linux Administrator; CompTIA Linux+; Oracle Certified Professional Oracle Linux System Administrator; Red Hat Certified Engineer; Oracle Certified Professional Solaris System Administrator; or Red Hat Certified Specialist in Ansible Automation.
