Information Assurance Specialist I

to join our team in

McDill Tampa.

This is an onsite position. The selected candidate will provide the capability to research, design, develop, acquire, produce, and provide life-cycle support for the Navy's Electronic Warfare systems. This Core Equity encompasses and supports all surface shipboard electronic detection and guidance devices including electronic surveillance measures (ESM), electronic protection (EP), electronic countermeasures (ECM) and electronic attack (EA). Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Identifies security risks, threats and vulnerabilities of networks, systems, applications and new technology initiatives. Develops, tests, and operates firewalls, intrusion detection systems, enterprise anti-virus systems and software deployment tools. Tests and debugs programs and scripts and prepares instruction for use during network exploitation activities. Applies knowledge of current IA policy, tactics, techniques, policy, and doctrine, and relationship to IA reporting requirements and structure. Assists in the planning and implementation of requirements. Evaluate potential security risks and make recommendations regarding corrections, mitigations, and recovery actions. Collaborate with internal and external security and IT staff to ensure the continued compliance and secure operation of authorized information systems. Assist with the generation of network/system diagrams to depict ports, protocols, and boundaries; update PPSM Registry as required. Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma. 1+ years of experience in the field or in a related area. Knowledge of operating systems, networking principles, and troubleshooting. Understanding of common cyber threats and security trends. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors Degree. Holds one of the following certifications: CISSP/CISM/CISA/GCIH/SEC+. Knowledge of DoDI 8510.01. Knowledge of applicable NIST 800 series publications. Knowledge of Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 503. Knowledge of Intelligence Community Information Technology Systems Security Risk Management. Clearance Requirements: Must have a current and active TS/SCI clearance. Physical Requirements: The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations. #J-18808-Ljbffr
