Must be within commuting distance to San Francisco, CA, Oakland, CA, Rancho Cordova, CA, or Alpharetta, GA. Occasional onsite work may be required. Location:

7 Months Required Skills & Experience:
Degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical education and experience. At least seven years of experience designing and developing high-performance, secure applications. Experience with Optical Character Recognition (OCR) tools such as FIS FormWorks, Mavro, OPEX, impira, etc. Expertise in OCR editor configuration and batch support. Proficiency in Azure AI Document Intelligence. Experience building and maintaining DEVOPS GHEC pipelines. Experience configuring observability platforms like Datadog. Knowledge of 834 EDI file format and processing. Understanding of current industry trends and best practices for strategic technology decisions. Ability to lead innovative approaches to address tech debt, anti-patterns, and security threats. Strong research skills to apply latest methodologies and design patterns. Ability to recognize organizational challenges and opportunities, and influence stakeholders. Subject matter expert with recognized authority in their field. Experience evaluating software reliability, scalability, operational ease, and skillset requirements. Mentorship skills and ability to promote cultural and process improvements. Knowledge of agile development methodologies. Ability to develop and maintain vendor relationships. Commitment to continuous learning and process improvement. What You Will Be Doing:
The Software Engineer will enhance and support the Formworks application, designing, building, and maintaining scalable functionalities. Collaboration with cross-functional teams including product managers, UX designers, architects, engineers, QA, and DevOps is essential. Build and support innovative solutions for business challenges. Lead architectural design, system analysis, and programming activities, often through independent research. Develop high-quality, scalable, secure, and maintainable software using best practices. Write comprehensive technical documentation and promote a documentation culture. Conduct code reviews, provide technical guidance, and mentor engineers. Collaborate with leadership and teams to define requirements and drive results. Assess risks, scope efforts, and communicate trade-offs effectively. Evaluate the impact of hardware/software upgrades. Assist in planning and executing engineering projects. Maintain knowledge of policies and ensure technical competency. This list is not exhaustive; additional duties may be assigned as needed.
