Project Engineer Location: Ridgeland, Mississippi Garver is seeking a

Project Engineer

to join our reputable Transportation Team at our

Ridgeland, MS

office, continuing our tradition of providing quality service to our clients. Responsibilities

Assist in designing and creating construction documents for various transportation projects, including: Establishing roadway geometric designs, including horizontal and vertical alignments and super elevation. Evaluating drainage needs of open channels and storm sewer systems through hydrology and hydraulic calculations. Determining construction perimeters via 3D modeling of roadway corridors. Designing traffic components and managing traffic control during construction. Calculating quantities and assisting in plan sheet setup and technical drafting for submittals. On-the-job training will be provided to help develop these skills. Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program Registered Engineer in Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE) 2-8 years of related experience Strong communication skills Proficiency in MS Office Preferred Skills

Experience in consulting engineering with a focus on transportation projects Familiarity with MicroStation, Geopak/InRoads, and Open Roads Knowledge of AASHTO highway and traffic publications Experience with MDOT transportation projects Grow With Us
