Project Engineer Location: Overland Park, Kansas Garver is seeking a

Project Engineer

to join our growing Transportation Team at our Kansas City or Overland Park office to continue providing reputable service to our clients. As part of the Transportation Team, this position will work under a project manager and support the team through the following responsibilities: Assisting in the design and creation of construction documents for various transportation projects. Establishing roadway geometric designs, including horizontal and vertical alignments and super elevation, using 3D modeling of roadway corridors. Evaluating drainage needs of open channels and storm sewer systems through hydrology and hydraulic calculations. Designing permanent and temporary traffic control measures during construction. Calculating quantities and preparing cost estimates. Assisting in technical drafting of schematics and plan sets. Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET-accredited program 2-5 years of related experience Strong communication skills Proficiency in MS Office Engineer In Training (EIT) certification Preferred Skills

Experience in consulting engineering with a focus on transportation projects Experience with Microstation, Geopak SS4, or Open Roads Designer (ORD) Familiarity with AASHTO, MoDOT, and local design criteria and traffic publications Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Missouri or ability to obtain reciprocity within three months of hire Grow With Us
