is recruiting for the

Chief of Geriatrics

to oversee a well-established service line along with helping to lead the Older Adults strategy across the health system. CHA is an award-winning health system based in Cambridge, Somerville, and Boston’s metro-north communities, CHA provides innovative primary, specialty and emergency care to our diverse patient population through an established network of ambulatory clinics, an urgent care site and two full service hospitals.

The incoming Chief of Geriatrics will provide clinical, administrative and academic leadership while maintaining a clinical practice. The current clinical services include a home care program for frail elders, geriatric care in local nursing homes and a 700+ member PACE program. The Chief will have oversight of the staff delivering high quality clinical care and also oversee educational programs. CHA is a teaching affiliate of Harvard Medical School and the candidate must qualify for faculty appointment at Harvard Medical School. The Chief will play a large role in developing an older adults strategy across CHA, collaborating with senior leadership and relevant stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5-7 years of post fellowship experience, 3-5 years of leadership experience, and a successful track record of professional development and mentoring of junior staff. Successful experience in interdisciplinary collaboration is necessary. Candidates must have excellent clinical and communication skills and possess a strong commitment to our underserved, multi-cultural patient population. Previous experience in an academic, safety net system is a plus.
