RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Houston, TX that is seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer with a strong background in modern data platforms and analytics engineering. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for building scalable data solutions and a curiosity for emerging AI technologies.
Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines and architectures using Snowflake, Python, and SQL
• Collaborate with analytics engineers and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality data products
• Support AI service integration within Snowflake, ensuring performance and scalability
• Contribute to data engineering best practices and mentor junior team members
• Participate in exploratory projects involving Generative AI and prompt engineering
  

REQUIREMENTS:

• 6+ years of experience in Data Engineering and/or Analytics Engineering
• Proficiency in Snowflake, Python, and SQL
• Proven experience designing and optimizing data pipelines and workflows
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to Generative AI or Cortex (even through small-scale projects or applications)
• Experience with prompt engineering, especially at scale
• Familiarity with modern data stack tools and cloud-native environments
  

Nice to Have:

• Experience working on AI-driven applications or integrating AI services into data platforms
• Understanding of data governance, security, and performance optimization in cloud environments
  

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
