NOVALINK SOLUTIONS LLC is seeking a .NET Web Developer III for a contract role focused on the modernization of the Vocational Information System for Tracking Advancement (VISTA). The successful candidate will be responsible for application design and development, integration with third-party systems, and database technology migration, while working closely with project teams to ensure best practices in documentation and testing are followed.
Responsibilities:
• Drive the development and support of the Vocational Information System for Tracking Advancement (VISTA) modernization project.
• Play an integral role on self-directed project teams working on this high priority development project.
• Application design and development, integration with 3rd party internal and external systems, database technology migration from Oracle to Azure SQL and data conversion.
• Building and maintaining cloud computing environments, and analysis of legacy code and logical requirements.
• Advising on and executing documentation, unit testing, and cross testing best practices.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Experience as a lead developer in a large application development project, preferably involving modernization of technology, as well as working with a cross-functional team to redesign and simplify UX and workflows to meet modern application design standards, using a material design library and component framework, such as MudBlazor - at least 2 years experience
• Candidate must be a .NET expert with extensive experience using ASP.NET Core v6-8 - at least 2 years experience
• Experience in Azure SQL cloud database solution - at least 1 year experience
• Experience with GitHub distributed version control and using GitHub actions to build and maintain CI/CD pipelines - at least 1 year experience
Preferred:
• Experience working in an Agile software development environment
• Experience using Linq or Entity Framework
• Previous experience providing this service for government a plus, and experience with DWD's environments will be especially valuable
