KPMG is seeking an Associate Director, Cyber Architecture and Engineering to join our Enterprise Security Services organization. This position offers remote work opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and manage Google Cloud Platform (GCP) security strategy, leveraging extensive knowledge of IT security and architecture to create and implement comprehensive security measures aligned with firm goals and emerging threats.
  2. Support security operations and incident response by providing expert knowledge of GCP in activities such as incident response, threat hunting, forensic analysis, and remediation; review security configurations and ensure strong security monitoring.
  3. Oversee the integration of GCP and Workbench security tools, automations, and processes to establish a unified security monitoring and response system.
  4. Stay updated on cybersecurity practices and technologies, mentor security team members, lead knowledge-sharing sessions, and provide thought leadership in security monitoring and incident response with GCP.
  5. Drive automation and orchestration to enhance security monitoring and response efficiency; document processes in playbooks and reference guides.
  6. Build and maintain relationships with internal technology teams and security vendors to ensure strategy alignment, fostering collaboration and standardization across groups.

Qualifications:

  1. At least eight years of recent experience in security architecture, with specialization in GCP and security tooling integration; deep technical expertise across multiple domains, including incident response.
  2. Bachelor's degree preferred; certifications such as CISSP and Google Professional Cloud Security Engineer are desirable.
  3. Experience leading security projects and defining security standards; familiarity with regulatory requirements like NIST, ISO 27001, and HIPAA.
  4. Ability to influence without authority, develop resource and project plans, and manage budgets.
  5. Excellent communication, collaboration, analytical, and presentation skills; capable of leading strategic initiatives and fostering team development.
  6. Ability to develop high-performance teams and interact across organizational levels; experience with resource planning and organizational influence.
  7. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future; no visa sponsorship is available for this role.
