Title: Director, Site Reliability Engineering

Salary: $200,000 - $220,000 base + bonus + benefits

Location: Atlanta, GA – hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days remote)

We have partnered with a global consumer brand looking to hire a Director of Site Reliability Engineering. You will help shape the future of reliability, automation, and observability for their next-gen, cloud-native platform. This is a senior leadership role tasked with advancing platform resilience, operational excellence, and engineering velocity across distributed customer-facing systems.

You will lead a high-performing team, spread geographically, and help define a forward-thinking roadmap, partnering closely with other business units such as architecture, security and product teams, to scale mission-critical infrastructure

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for Change Management and ability to lead critical software release schedule on a global scale.
• Build and mentor a forward-leaning team focused on automation, reliability, and measurable business outcomes.
• Drive innovation in self-healing systems, adaptive scaling, advanced observability, and chaos engineering.
• Advance SLAs/SLOs, AI/ML-based anomaly detection, automated remediation, and blameless postmortems.
• Refine CI/CD pipelines, enforce Infrastructure as Code, and align FinOps strategies with performance and ROI.
• Partner across architecture, security, and compliance to embed resilience, cost-awareness, and continuous improvement across the platform lifecycle.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years in software engineering or IT with 5+ years in cloud-native SRE or DevOps, and a strong foundation in Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• 4+ years leading high-performing teams with a track record of driving IaC-first and CI/CD-driven transformations.
• Proven ability to lead global teams and be deliberate in their decision making on deployment schedules.
• Deep hands-on experience with Azure or other major cloud platforms, infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, ARM), and observability systems.
• Skilled in navigating high-scale environments with a strategic, data-driven approach to automation, reliability, and FinOps.
• Effective executive-level communicator with the ability to influence cross-functional teams; Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field required.
