As a Senior Manager at Starbucks, you will lead your team in building data products, uncovering valuable customer insights, and communicating key discoveries. Your work will drive better decision-making across the Strategic Pricing and Product domains. Additionally, you will develop strong partnerships with stakeholders to ensure alignment and success.
As a Senior Manager, data science, you will…

• Translate business questions into data problems and define solutions roadmap; build analytics solutions independently and with cross-functional teams.
• Develop and promote analytics products and insights; establish KPIs and drive data-driven decision-making across business teams.
• Collaborate and establish expertise in advanced analytics; drive understanding of strategic pricing initiatives across departments.
  

We’d Love To Hear From People With

• BA/BS w/ concentration in business or quantitative discipline - Stats, Math, Comp Sci, Engineering, Econ, or similar; Masters preferred
• Minimum 7 years’ experience within the field of data science or discipline
• Proficiency in Python or R, SQL, and relational databases
• Knowledge of machine learning and statistical modeling techniques including regression, decision trees, classification, causal inference, and clustering algorithms
• Exposure to production machine learning systems development, package creation, code repository management, and software development best practices
• Experience with cloud tech for data and analytics solutions (Azure, AWS)
• Excellent attention to detail, strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience managing a team

• If you are working in CA, CO, IL, LA, ME, MA, NE, ND or RI, you will accrue vacation up to a maximum of 120 hours (190 in CA) for roles below director and 200 hours (316 in CA) for roles at director or above. For roles in other states, you will be granted vacation time starting at 120 hours annually for roles below director and 200 hours annually for roles director and above.
  

The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. At Starbucks, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
