The Territory Manager, Structural Interventions is a field-based position, responsible for ensuring that the assigned territory meets or exceeds sales objectives. The Territory Manager will work with their Regional Director to identify and evaluate market opportunities and sales potential and to establish and achieve annual sales objectives in assigned territory. They will coordinate activities with clinical consultants and negotiate contracts with external customers. This role keeps the company informed of market dynamics and competitive activity. This particular role is focused on Abbott’s Stroke Prevention offering which encompasses patent foramen ovale (PFO) as well as the recently approved FDA approved AmplatzerTM AmuletTM LAA Occluder. Responsibilities include selling products by scheduling sales calls to meet with current and potential customers to fulfill revenue and unit growth objectives; developing and implementing sales strategies by determining relevant factors of existing and potential accounts; developing action plans by analyzing sales figures and reports; identifying key accounts and business issues; observing procedures in hospital labs and operating rooms; establishing pricing packages; developing relationships with hospital personnel; strengthening customer relationships through sales support activities; building networks of contacts by attending trade shows and conferences; educating external customers on product usage; maintaining clinical and technical expertise; assessing trends in managed care and competitors' strategies; and preparing and submitting reports to sales management. Required qualifications include BS/BA or equivalent experience, 5+ years of related cardiovascular work experience with 3+ years in Structural Heart or Electrophysiology specific sales experience, and vendor credentialing requirements compliance. Preferred qualifications include a degree in Life Sciences or Marketing and strong sales and clinical orientation with experience in interventional cardiology, cardiac surgery, and electrophysiology products.
