Position Overview: Davis Wright Tremaine LLP seeks a mid to senior level attorney to join its national Employee Benefits law practice. This role is ideal for a confident, self-motivated lawyer with the ability to handle matters independently and build a practice in a collegial environment. Candidates should have law firm experience, excellent client relationship skills, practical insight, creativity, and a self-starter mindset. Strong writing and oral advocacy skills are required.
Minimum Experience: At least five years’ experience in areas such as:
- Private, tax-exempt, and public (governmental) retirement plans (401(k), 403(b), 457(b)) and defined benefit plans
- M&A Benefits Support
- 409A and executive compensation
- Health and welfare plans, including laws like ACA, COBRA, HIPAA
- ERISA litigation

Salary & Benefits: The annual salary range in WA, CA, NY is $225,000 to $330,000, adjusted based on experience. Benefits include bonuses, health insurance, HSA, disability coverage, dental, vision, life insurance, Flexible Spending Accounts, 401(k), vacation, sick leave, holidays, and other voluntary benefits.
