Algo Trading Technology – Director

Overview:

Join a leading global investment bank as the Technology Lead for the Credit Algorithmic Trading Platform within Global Spread Products (GSP). You'll drive strategy, architecture, and delivery for a fast-growing $1.6B business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end development of the Credit Algo Trading Platform (Java, Python, Solace, KDB, Ignite).
• Work closely with Algo Trading desks (US/UK) to define and implement technical solutions.
• Manage a global dev team and collaborate with cross-asset tech groups.
• Partner with Quants to integrate models and optimize trading performance.
• Balance stakeholder engagement, system design, team leadership, and community involvement.

Role Breakdown:

• 30% Stakeholder Engagement
• 30% Technical Architecture & Coding
• 30% Team & Delivery Management

Requirements:

• 7+ years in Fixed Income trading tech with strong Java backend expertise.
• 5+ years with Solace/RV, SQL databases, and low-latency system design.
• Strong leadership, architecture, and communication skills.
• Experience building scalable, high-performance algo trading systems.
