About the Position
The Department of Medicine, Section of Hematology and Oncology, at Baylor College of Medicine is recruiting a Genitourinary Medical Oncologist to provide patient-centered multidisciplinary care and serve as an active clinical investigator at the Dan L Duncan Comprehensive Cancer Center's McNair Campus.
Qualifications
- MD or MD/PhD degree
- Board-eligible or board-certified in medical oncology
- Proficiency in clinical documentation and billing
- Current valid license to practice medicine in Texas
- Current DEA certificate or in progress
Responsibilities
- Provide multidisciplinary patient care in genitourinary oncology
- Serve as a clinical investigator, contributing to research efforts
- Maintain clinical effort of 80% with Baylor Medicine and 20% protected research time during initial years
- Participate in outpatient clinics and inpatient rounds at Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center
- Engage in collaborative translational research within the DLDCCC
Additional Information
Initial faculty appointment includes 80% clinical effort and 20% research. Full clinical effort may increase to 5-6 half-day clinics weekly and 6-8 weeks inpatient service, with potential reduction based on grant funding.
