The Head of Program Surgical Instruments Microsurgery will lead and manage a global program focused on the development and market introduction of one or more medical product families, including related components and accessories. Ensure achievement of objectives related to product performance, manufacturing and development costs, time-to-market, and customer segment requirements. Oversee multidisciplinary teams and external partners, drive innovation, and ensure alignment with corporate strategy and regulatory standards. Responsibilities include program leadership and strategy, project and resource management, technical and process excellence, team development and leadership, stakeholder communication and reporting, and customer and market focus. The role requires leading and managing project teams, integrating global cross-functional teams, defining team structure, overseeing program phases from concept to market release, managing budgets, coordinating with external partners, guiding technology integration, ensuring compliance, fostering innovation, reporting to senior management, and supporting product quality and cost-effectiveness. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, natural sciences or STEM related, 10 years of operational project management experience, 5 years in people management and functional leadership including leading global R&D teams. Preferred skills include knowledge of mechatronic systems, medical technology product development, broad technical expertise, entrepreneurial mindset, design-to-cost competence, excellent social and communication skills, assertiveness, and fluency in German and English. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP MRP systems is required, with experience in Visual Basic and Access as a plus.
