Position Overview
Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center is seeking a full-time Psychiatrist to join our team in Houston, TX. The Psychiatrist will perform psychiatric evaluations, treat patients with personality, emotional, or mental health issues, prescribe medications, and recommend appropriate therapies based on current standards. The psychiatrist will also oversee and instruct medical students and psychiatry residents on the progression of mental illnesses during treatment.
Work Schedule
Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen (considering non-citizen candidates)
- Full and unrestricted license from any U.S. State
- Board Certified or Board Eligible (preferred)
- Strong knowledge of psychopharmacology and evidence-based practices (preferred)
- Highly motivated, team-oriented, and dedicated to Veteran care
Benefits
- Salary: $240,000 - $280,000
