Our client, an AM Law 100 law firm, is seeking an experienced associate to join its growing Environmental Law Department. The practice handles the environmental transactional aspects of complex M&A, private equity, financing, capital markets, bankruptcy, and real estate matters..

Ideal candidate will have between 2-4 years of relevant transactional experience at a law firm. Salary range for this position is $235,000 - $305,000. Actual salary will be determined based on a variety of factors.

Qualifications:

• 2-4 years of law firm experience
• Must have experience performing diligence, negotiating, drafting and advising on varied environmental issues implicated in transactional matters.
• Experience handling environmental regulatory compliance matters, brownfield clean-up and other remedial matters, and matters relating to sustainability, climate change and renewable energy is also preferred.
• J.D. from an ABA accredited law school with excellent academic credentials
• Outstanding written and oral communication skills
• Excellent client-relations skills and a strong work ethic
• Bar admission in New York is required
