The PROSPER (Passaic-Ramapo Onramp to Student Persistence & Employment Readiness) grant is a federal Title V grant. It is an innovative partnership with Ramapo College of NJ that provides Hispanic and low-income students with the knowledge and skill to succeed in university coursework and ensure long-term success. Grant activities include student support (career & transfer advising), applied learning opportunities for students and faculty development.
We are seeking a Program Coordinator for the PROSPER grant who will be responsible for the day-to-day implementation of the activities and will report to the Director.
This is a full-time, grant-funded administrative position.
Example of Duties:

  • Manage day-to-day implementation of project to ensure accomplishment of objectives.
  • Provide direct supervision to the key project personnel, ensuring that project activities are being implemented in accordance with the approved application.
  • Track activity budget to ensure the appropriate use of funds.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key partners and promote Title V activities.
  • Assist faculty in all aspects of curricular alignment and faculty department.
  • Assess faculty development needs and create faculty development plans.
  • Engage employers in curricular alignment and COP activities.
  • Coordinate faculty workshops and summer Institutes.
  • Establish a shared repository of electronic and video resources.
  • Research and disseminate information on applied learning strategies.
  • Research and introduce E-Portfolios to faculty engaged in course pilots.
  • Prepare reports for Project Director and Co-Project Director.
  • Serve on the project management team and Advisory Council
  • Participate in project evaluation and institutionalization of activities.
Qualifications:
  • Experienced educator/administrator with outstanding leadership, supervisory, communication, and project management skills.
  • Requires a Master's degree in Education or related field.
  • Experience in undergraduate instruction required.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
The completion of a background check will be required for the selected candidate.
Compensation: Salary is determined by a variety of criteria, including but not limited to, previous relevant experience, education level, and certifications. The starting salary for this position is $50,000.
