American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery night shift assignment with couplet care and cesarean circulation responsibilities.Job Details•Work in the Labor & Delivery and Special Care Nursery units,•Night shifts (4x12 hours, 18:00-6:30),•Patient population includes well babies, labor patients, and neonates requiring advanced support,•Care for diagnoses such as TTN, hypoglycemia, R/O sepsis, respiratory distress, and term newborns,•Required to couplet care for well babies, manage labor patients, and circulate cesarean sections,•Assist with pediatric procedures such as LP, circumcision, UVC insertion, intubation, and neonatal stabilization,•Epic EMR is used; experience preferred,•Must float to similar units as needed and will receive brief orientation,•Scrubs provided; any color purple or navy blue OR scrubs accepted,Job Requirements•Active NM or Compact RN license required at time of consideration,•Current certifications: BLS and NRP required,•PALS certification preferred,•Minimum of 1 year of Labor & Delivery experience required,•First-time travelers are welcome to apply,•Epic charting experience preferred,•Must not have been a permanent staff member within the past year,•Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility; locals within 50 miles not accepted,Additional Information•Responsibilities include providing couplet care, labor management, circulating for cesarean sections, and assisting with advanced newborn procedures,•Most newborns room in with parents, while those needing IV support remain in the nursery with parental access,•Team support is provided and modules are completed onsite during orientation,•No travel pairs or group placements allowed,•No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved,•No RTO permitted during the first week of orientation,•Holiday and schedule coverage may be required based on unit needs
