Position Overview:We are seeking an experienced, self-directed machinist to join our team on the Weekend Night Shift to set up and run our Large-Frame Union Horizontal CNC Boring Mill. The machine has 45 feet of X travel, 20 feet of Y travel, and 5 feet of Z travel. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to producing high-quality parts in a timely manner. Key Responsibilities: Work with engineers, programmers, planners, and other machinists to produce quality parts on time and within scheduled due datesEnsure parts meet tolerances as defined by engineering drawings and CAD modelsCollaborate with engineers to determine disposition of out-of-spec partsFollow AS9100 standards and best machining practicesDrive a forklift to move parts to empty chip binsOperate overhead cranes to load/unload and fixture large parts (over 20,000 lbs.)Qualifications:Education & Experience:Minimum 4 years of training and experience on similar CNC boring mill equipmentHigh School diploma or equivalentSkills: Ability to work unsupervised for most of the shiftProficiency with computers: CAD/MasterCAM/SolidWorks knowledge is a plusAbility to read, interpret, and analyze written procedures and engineering drawings in EnglishStrong problem-solving, analytical, and technical skillsGood organizational and planning skillsMust be over 18 years oldOther Requirements:This position is a Weekend Night ShiftMust be able to physically load/move materials and operate machine shop equipment throughout a full shiftMust be able to lift up-to 70 lbs. unassisted on occasionMust pass a Background Check and Drug ScreenMust provide proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.Aerospace experience and G-code programming knowledge preferredGood attitude and professional references requiredComfortable working in a shop environment with exposure to dust, odors, oil, fumes, and noiseCompensation & Benefits:Pay: $45 - $55 per hour DOEBenefits Include:401(k) matchingHealth, Dental, and Vision InsuranceFlexible Spending and Health Savings AccountsLife InsurancePaid time offParental leaveProfit sharingApplication Instructions:Apply online at: Electroimpact is an Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veteran/Disability
