Job DescriptionBusy company that offers a 4-day work week with overtime available on Fridays is looking to a hire a strong CNC Machinist to set up and operate Horizontal Machining Centers and a Boring Mill. Programming is not required. Great opportunity for a machinist who enjoys machining large parts and working in a short run / job shop environment.DUTIES OF THE CNC MACHINIST - MILLS:Set-up and operate the HBMs (Horizontal Boring/Milling Machines)Set up, adjust, and operate various sizes of horizontal CNC machines including Toyoda HMC, Toshiba HMC, and Hyundai HBMWork with and obtain tight tolerances on parts, checking own work with measuring instruments and documenting resultsWork from routings, process sheets, die drawings and blueprints. Assist with program edits to select speeds, feeds, tooling, and operational sequence Prove out and make minor edits to CNC programs via through the programmer leadPosition, align and secure work piece. May require the use of locating fixtures. Select and prepare tools to meet varying conditions and materials as noted in the booklet release from ProgrammerActively participate in machining team efforts and department continuous improvement activitiesRequirementsREQUIREMENTS OF THE CNC MACHINIST - MILLS:5 + years' minimum machining experience including setup of CNC machinesKnowledge of CNC machine controls, preferably Fanuc & Tosnuc ControlsExperience with MasterCam Software is helpful but not requiredMust have good knowledge in the use of X-Y-Z-W & B axis machiningStrong shop math, blueprint reading, and problem-solving skillsGood communication skills and willingness to work well with othersShort run/job shop experience preferredExperience machining large parts ranging from 1 - 15 tons and overhead crane experience is a mustBenefitsHealthDentalPTOHoliday401KBonus Program
