American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position focused on renal and limb preservation with night shifts and telemetry skills required.Job Details•Work in a 41-bed inpatient Med/Surg Telemetry unit,•Patient population includes renal and limb preservation cases, including ESRD, ARF, vascular procedures, CHF, diabetes, and diabetic foot ulcers,•Telemetry capability with focus on monitoring and management of dysrhythmias,•Hemodialysis patients receive treatments in a dedicated unit; peritoneal dialysis treatments are conducted on the floor by the dialysis team,•Typical ratio is 1:5-6 patients per RN,•12-hour night shifts from 18:45 to 07:15,•Weekend work required every other weekend,•Floating may be required within the hospital or to affiliated hospitals as needed,•Uses Epic EMR and Pyxis,•Self-scheduling is available,•24 hours of orientation provided, including 2 shifts with preceptor and EMR training,Job Requirements•Active NC or Compact RN license required at start,•Minimum of 2 years Med/Surg Telemetry experience required,•BCLS required prior to start,•Experience with telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and management required,•Must pass EKG testing prior to start,•Epic charting experience required,•References from two managers or supervisors from the past year are highly preferred,•ACLS and NIHSS certifications are preferred,•Open to first time travelers,•Applicants must not have been employed in a perm, PRN, or EP staff role at the health system in the past 12 months,Additional Information•Work as part of an interdisciplinary team including hospitalists, RN navigator, NAs, dietary, PT/OT, and pharmacy with daily team meetings,•Must be comfortable floating without restrictions,•Scrub colors required: Navy or White; scrubs not provided,•Candidates must work 2 out of 3 major holidays and no requested time off allowed during the first week of assignment,•Fatigue policy limits work to a maximum of 5 consecutive days or 60 hours in one week,•Modules and EMR education must be completed before starting and periodically thereafter,•Local candidates within 50 miles are accepted but offered a local rate,),•hash,:•14855351549778239531,
