CNC MachinistEssential Duties and ResponsibilitiesUtilize Engineers program data via storage device installed into the CNC that programs mills and lathes by entering instructions, including zero and reference points; setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches; calculating requirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry; proving part programsSet-up mills and lathes by installing and adjusting three- and four-jaw chucks, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, cams, gears, stops, and stock pushers; indicating vices; tramming headsUnderstand specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by mechanical drawings etc.Prepare a test run to check if the machine produces outputs according to specificationsVerify settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample workpieces, adhering to international standardsMaintain specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling and thread chasing operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting controls; replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processesAdhere to all quality standards and safety procedures, recognizing unsafe situations and takingCheck and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionalityOperate a forklift to pick materials for projects to be cut on the CNCOperate a forklift to load and unload materials and components onto and from trucksCompetenciesHigh degree of accuracy and attention to detailAnalytical, problem solving and decision-making skillsEffective verbal, listening and communication skillsDemonstrate a sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlinesAbility to work independently or as a team memberMechanical AptitudeGood math skillsFirst shiftPay is $25/hr+ depending on experienceCall PrideStaff to apply at 925-275-0499 or email your updated resume to / Pay Rate (Up to): $25.00 - $35.00 Per Hour
