Travel RN - Med/Surg - Neuro

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Neuro position requiring stroke experience, BLS certification, and the ability to float between units.Job Details•Work in a Med/Surg Neuro unit within a hospital setting,•Care for neurological patients with medical-surgical needs, including stroke cases,•Night shift, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM,•Floating is required to other Med/Surg units and as a Patient Observer (sitter) throughout the facility,•At least 50% holiday and weekend coverage is required during the contract,•Cerner EMR experience is preferred but not required,Job Requirements•Active RN license (MO or Compact) must be in hand at the time of consideration,•Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required,•At least 1 year of Med/Surg Neuro or stroke experience required,•Minimum 1 year of specialty experience and 2 years total RN experience required,•Stroke experience is required,•NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications preferred,Additional Information•First-time travelers are welcome to apply,•All travelers are expected to float to any area as a Patient Observer (sitter),•Locals within 75 miles are accepted for consideration, typically at a different rate,•Must complete orientation modules, averaging 4-6 hours, during onboarding and annually,•Requires 2 professional references from a charge nurse or above for consideration
