Tool Maker/Machinist

Summary:The Tool Maker/Machinist is responsible for safely performing essential duties associated with the job while maintaining a high-level quality and efficiency.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Blueprint reading Use manual mill, manual lathe and surface grinders Responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work area Perform minor repairs on molds (pins, blades, etc.) CNC Milling (experience preferred) EDM machine (experience preferred) Fabricate intricate mold components from prints Perform all repairs on molds 3-D Milling Performs other tasks as directed by supervisorSupervisory Responsibilities: NoneQualifications: Manual dexterity and coordination Ability to read and comprehend work instructions Ability to read blueprints (preferred) Great attention to detail Work well with others Mechanically inclinedEducation and/or Experience: High school diploma or equivalent Shop experience is preferred Experience in Injection Molding is preferredMathematical Skills: Proficient in Shop Math Proficient in measuring in tenths with tools such a micrometersReasoning Ability: Ability to recognize non-compliance to work standards and contact appropriate supervision or management staffCertificates, Licenses, Registrations: None requiredPhysical Demands: Extended hours standing and repetitive tasks Standing, sitting, walking, bending, stooping, crouching, kneeling, lifting up to 75 pounds regularlyWork Environment: Manufacturing environment with associated noises, smells, and temperatures
