Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS required through the RQI system during clinical orientation. Basic Coronary Care within six months of hire. CPI certification within 90 days of hire. Certification by the Emergency Nurses Association recommended within two years of hire. TNCC recommended within two years of hire. Must-Have: Must be comfortable floating to ICU, ER, Med/Surg. BSN is required. Critical care experience is required. Description: RNs will be assigned to a day/night shift rotation. Rotation includes every other weekend and holiday shifts. Four on-call shifts will be required every four weeks. Candidates must be cross-trained for multiple units including Med/Surg, ICU, and ER. Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Candidates must possess excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities is essential. Individuals must enhance the spirit of teamwork through effective role modeling. Knowledge and skills necessary to provide age-appropriate care are required. Ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status is essential. Candidates should interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to age-specific needs. Care must be provided for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient groups. Experience with Microsoft Office products and electronic medical records is preferred. Demonstrated behaviors consistent with professional communication and a healing environment are expected.
