American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring current BLS, NRP, and AWHONN fetal monitoring certifications and a willingness to float within 20 miles.Job Details•Position is in the Labor & Delivery and Women's Care unit of a hospital setting,•Patient population includes antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum women, and newborns,•Involves obstetric triage, labor assessment, fetal evaluation, delivery preparation, and newborn care,•Required to float between departments or nearby locations within 20 miles,•12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, including weekends and on-call as needed,•Uses Epic EMR; onsite training available if needed,Job Requirements•Active RN license from New Mexico or Compact state,•Minimum of two years recent Labor & Delivery experience,•Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) required,•BLS (American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or Red Cross), NRP, and AWHONN intermediate or advanced fetal monitoring certifications required,•Must pass Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia (BCA) test during orientation, with one retake permitted,•Epic EMR experience preferred but not required; training provided on-site,•Must not reside within 50 miles of the facility (no locals allowed),•Previous permanent staff must wait one year before being eligible as a traveler,Additional Information•Responsibilities include antepartum and intrapartum assessment, labor and fetal evaluation, medication administration, delivery support, and postpartum/newborn care,•Must be able to perform newborn procedures such as hearing screens, blood draws, IV starts, medication administration, stabilization, and phototherapy,•Immediate stabilization of critically ill newborns for transport may be required,•Required to administer newborn and maternal medications including Pitocin, magnesium sulfate, insulin, and antihypertensives,•Will be expected to care for both vaginal and cesarean delivery patients,•Must pass required testing during orientation to continue assignment,),•hash,:•5111049731482926956,
