American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring 3 years of L&D experience and current BLS and NRP certifications.Job Details•Work in an acute care hospital setting in a combined Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) unit,•15 LDRP beds for labor, delivery, postpartum, and recovery; approximately 400 births per year,•Patient population includes obstetric, postpartum, antepartum, post-surgical GYN, and pregnancy with hypertension or diabetes,•Nurse-to-patient ratios based on AWHONN guidelines: typically 1:3, 1:1 for laboring patients,•Common titratable drips include Pitocin, magnesium sulfate, and Procardia,•12-hour night shifts; weekend shifts required every other weekend,•Holiday coverage may be required based on unit needs,•No routine float requirement unless critical staffing necessitates; floating limited to task or patient sitting only and is very rare,•Uses Epic EMR; prior Epic experience is preferred,•No on-call or standby required,Job Requirements•Active RN license in the state of assignment or Compact (NLC) license in hand; pending licenses not accepted,•Minimum of 3 years recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience required,•Current BLS and NRP certifications are required and must be active at time of consideration,•Driver's license required to confirm permanent residence outside 50-mile radius,•Candidate cannot be currently employed full time, part time, or PRN (within the last year) at any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI or Dignity,•2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the past 12 months, and one peer or supervisor from the past 3 years, including employment dates and eligibility for rehire,•Must pass an open-book skills exam during orientation with a minimum score of 90%,Additional Information•Provide comprehensive nursing care throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum phases,•Participate in titration of relevant maternal medications and manage labor induction and augmentation,•Support provided by a charge nurse present on each shift,•Breastfeeding-friendly and Blue Distinction Plus unit with high patient experience scores,•One week classroom orientation followed by 2-3 floor shifts for unit-specific training,•RTO must be submitted up front and is limited to 7 or fewer days per 13-week contract,•Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify,),•hash,:•17398568070794221362,
