About The Job

The Department of Rehabilitation Medicine, Division of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R), at the University of Minnesota offers an exciting opportunity to join a growing academic department as a full-time physiatrist. We seek a dynamic, energetic professional to be part of the M Health Fairview multidisciplinary, patient-centered General Physiatry Program.

Responsibilities
  • Provide outpatient General Physiatry care within the M Health Fairview system, including conditions such as stroke, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, amputee, multiple sclerosis, musculoskeletal injuries, complex neurological conditions, prehabilitation, and migraines.
  • Collaborate with the PM&R Medical Director/Division Director and leadership to develop and strengthen the program.
  • Participate in call coverage at the Acute Rehabilitation Unit (IRF) on a rotating basis.
  • Provide inpatient cross-coverage as needed.
  • Supervise and work with APPs, medical students, residents, fellows, and allied health professionals.
  • Complete all patient encounters within eight days.
Qualifications

Required: Graduate of an accredited PM&R residency, board-certified or eligible with ABPM&R, eligible for Minnesota Medical Practice license, and meet credentialing criteria. Must demonstrate excellent clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to diversity and inclusion.

Preferred: Experience with botulinum toxin injections for spasticity, dystonia, and migraines, and collaboration across multiple departments and health systems.

Compensation & Benefits
