As an oncology nurse, you will provide comprehensive care for medical-surgical oncology patients, including those with leukemia, lymphoma, and multiple myeloma. Your role will entail supporting patients in clinical trials, CAR-T therapy, and stem cell transplants. Key Responsibilities: - Administer chemotherapy and manage blood/blood products.- Provide care for various oncology procedures, including BMT and inpatient oncology.- Set up and manage chest tubes, CPAP/BiPAP, and other respiratory devices.- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services.- Monitor patient telemetry and manage PCA pumps, PICC line care, and tracheostomy care.- Conduct wound care and manage feeding tubes and drains. Qualifications: - A minimum of 2 years of oncology nursing experience with OCN certification (REQUIRED).- Proficiency in administering chemotherapy and handling complications.- Familiarity with Epic charting system is preferred.- Valid BLS and ONS/ONCC chemotherapy certification.- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and healthcare teams. Patient Care Details: - Patient Age Groups: Adults, Geriatrics- Daily Census: 25- Number of Beds: 30 Unit Information: - Night Patient Ratios: 5 patients per nurse.- Call and weekend coverage required.- Opportunities to float to medical-surgical units as needed.
