Job Position: CNC Set-Up Tech (2nd shift)Location: Macomb, MI 48044Pay Rate: $19 - $27 per hour (up to $33 per hour with electrical proficiency)Shift: 2nd Shift (4:30 PM - 3:00 AM)Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated CNC Machinist / Troubleshooter with Lathe and Mills experience to join our 2nd shift team. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our manufacturing processes, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety.Key Responsibilities:Troubleshoot and resolve tooling, process concerns, and chronic machine problems.Edit CNC programs to optimize performance and address issues.Test new products, including tooling and work holding solutions.Perform changeovers and repair maintenance activities on machinery.Actively participate in problem-solving initiatives.Maintain excellent housekeeping in the tool room area.Drive cycle time reductions to enhance productivity.Contribute to the APQP/PPAP process and the implementation of new processes.Execute production setups with precision.Reteach robots and collaborate with Engineering on cell automation.Assist with training for operators on machining and preventive maintenance tasks, potentially including new hire training.Adhere to all housekeeping, safety, and environmental requirements, including recycling, proper labeling, spill procedures, and related programs.Comply with all applicable requirements for Quality and Environmental Systems.Generate and submit continuous improvement ideas related to safety, productivity, quality, and housekeeping.Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.Job ProfileEducation:High School Diploma (minimum)Experience:3-5 years of proficiency in production, CNC equipment, and mechanical roles.Desired Proficiencies:Strong ability in setup and process troubleshooting.Hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment with CNC machines, grinders, hobs, shapers, and heat treat equipment.Proficiency in CNC programming and Fanuc controls.Solid understanding of technical math and strong mechanical abilities.Knowledge and practical use of tool room equipment.#INDT
