American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery position requiring at least 2 years of LDRP and nursery experience, with BLS and NRP certifications.Job Details•Work in the Labor and Delivery, LDRP, and Nursery units caring for labor, antepartum, OB/GYN, and newborn patients,•Night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) with the option of 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts per week,•Unit procedures include circumcisions, C-sections, inductions of labor, hearing and newborn screens, and general admissions,•Exposure to a Level 2 nursery with an average of 140-160+ deliveries per month,•In-house physicians are present part-time; additional coverage is on-call,•Staffed per shift with 1 charge nurse, 6-7 nurses, and 1 scrub, with adjustments according to census,•Uses Epic EMR; Epic experience preferred,•No on-call responsibilities,•Required to work at least one Friday, one Saturday, and one Sunday shift during every 4-week schedule,Job Requirements•Active RN license required,•Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum, and Nursery (LDRP) experience,•Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications required,•Preferred candidates have Level 2 nursery experience and are able to circulate, scrub, and triage,•Previous Epic EMR experience is preferred,•Must complete OSHA Respirator Clearance and pass FIT testing; clean shaven required for testing,•Must not have worked at the facility as a traveler for more than 1 year within the previous 6 months,•Candidates must reside at least 70 miles from the facility,Additional Information•Responsible for patient care throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum phases for mothers and newborns,•May be required to perform or assist with special procedures such as circumcisions, C-sections, and inductions,•Team structure includes a charge nurse, multiple RNs, and a scrub tech on each shift,•Pre-start online module training must be completed and will be recorded on transcripts,•Holiday coverage is required for New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas as defined by the unit,•First-time travelers are accepted,•Two professional references from a supervisor within the last two years are required for consideration,),•hash,:•16559451603001485889,
